I am a fully certified funeral celebrant, having obtained the Certificate of Distinction in Funeral Celebrancy from the Academy of Professional Celebrants.
I was born and raised in South Wales, before leaving home to begin a career in the Royal Air Force at age 17.
I subsequently spent 10-years in the RAF, which was followed by a 23-year career as a police officer in both England and Wales.
Alongside my professional career, I have also been a volunteer with many charitable organistions at many levels, from senior leadership, to working on the frontline. This resulted in the award of an MBE for services to charity in 2019.
Since retiring from the police in 2020, I now work as a wellbeing trainer for a national military charity, as well as working as a professional speaker and enrichment lecturer throughout the South West and wider afield.
Throughout my working life, my roles have sadly brought me into contact with those affected by loss and grief.
These experiences have enabled me to understand the immeasurable privilege in helping families say goodbye to their family members and loved ones.
A funeral ceremony which is personalised and done well, stays with us forever and helps in the grieving process.
Funeral celebrancy provides the perfect vehicle to combine my life experience, natural empathy, speaking & presentation skills and professional approach to a new, fulfilling, deeply meaningful career.
Grief is the toughest challenge that we will ever face.
I would like to help you face this challenge.
I am the son of a military veteran, as well as being a proud military veteran myself, I take great pride in respecting and honouring the service of veterans at their funeral services.
The Armed Forces are a family, and we keenly feel the loss of each person, who has served their nation with courage and honour.
I ensure that this important aspect of the lives of veterans are afforded the correct degree of celebration in their funeral service - just as they would have wanted.
